Our Story

From the streets of Manila to a place of love, safety, and hope.

Tonight, over 1 million children will sleep on the streets of the Philippines — 400,000 in Manila alone. Ima’s Home exists to rescue, restore, and give them family.

It Started With One Child. It’s Changing a Nation.

While driving through the crowded streets of Manila, I encountered a staggering number of children begging in the dangerous streets. As I looked into the eyes of a rain-soaked, little Filipino girl begging on the street corner, I heard God speak to me, “If you build it, I will use it not only for the salvation of children, but I will use those children to make a difference in their city and country.”

I didn’t know the first thing about starting an orphanage or how it would all come together, but as I continued to pray about it, God reassured me that He would help me and direct me. And that is exactly what He did. Over the next several years, we found the resources and people we needed to make Ima’s Home a reality. We found an amazing in-country director to run the home. We purchased land, built our facility, acquired staff, and opened our doors in 2013 to thirteen children.

Today, Ima’s Home has provided more than 200 children a place to find safety and love in Christ, to find freedom from their past, to discover their purpose, and eventually make a difference in their community and in their nation. We are just getting started. The best is yet to come!
