A Nation of Strength and Diversity

The Philippines is a vibrant island country in Southeast Asia with more than 7,600 islands and over 100 million people. Its rich mix of cultures — Malay, Spanish, Chinese, American, and more — has shaped a resilient and family-oriented society.

Alongside its beauty and hospitality, the country faces high poverty rates and limited resources for vulnerable children. Economic hardship, natural disasters, and complex social challenges leave many without safe homes or education.

More than one million children live on the streets of the Philippines, including about 400,000 in Manila. Many are abandoned or displaced, living without reliable food, safety, or schooling.

Ima’s Home was founded to meet this urgent need by providing Christ-centered care, education, and family-style love that transforms lives and breaks the cycle of poverty.
