VOLUNTEER PATHS

  • Teaching – Pre-K

Volunteers in the Pre-K program lead lessons for children ages 3–5 at Ima’s Home, teaching English, Math, Science, and Arts & Crafts. While following a set curriculum, you’ll bring learning to life through drawing, painting, and play—with plenty of fun along the way! This project is ideal for aspiring teachers or those with no prior experience. Expect to teach and organize activities for about 4–5 hours daily, with mornings and afternoons in the classroom and evenings for lesson prep. During school breaks, volunteers may host special community classes, offering creative lessons beyond the standard curriculum—an experience that’s both rewarding and deeply appreciated by the local community.

    Teaching

On this project, you’ll work with primary and secondary students, primarily teaching English and occasionally Arts & Crafts. Filipino students begin learning English early, and your fluency will greatly enhance their confidence and communication skills. You’ll teach 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with mornings and afternoons in class and evenings for lesson prep. During holidays, volunteers can lead special community classes, a highlight for both locals and participants. No teaching experience is required—local staff provide full support—but completing a TEFL or similar course is encouraged to prepare you for the classroom.

  • Join our Construction & Renovation team to assist with light building and improvement projects around Ima’s Home—enhancing dorms, classrooms, and outdoor spaces. Tasks vary from painting, carpentry, and restoration to landscaping, depending on current needs. No prior experience is necessary, though skilled volunteers are highly valued. Expect hands-on, rewarding work alongside local staff as you help create a more welcoming environment for residents. A two-week minimum stay is required, and additional fundraising helps cover materials and logistics, outlined in your Mission Packet.

  • Experience the joy of sports and service on our Sports Mission Trip to Ima’s Home! You’ll organize a lively sports camp where children learn teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship through games and friendly competitions. Beyond the camp, you’ll help identify and nurture young athletic talent, building confidence and promoting healthy living. This trip combines fun and purpose—empowering children to dream big, discover their passions, and unlock their full potential through the power of sports.

  • Share your love of music on our Music Mission Trip to Ima’s Home! Through a joyful music camp, you’ll teach uplifting songs and dance routines that culminate in a heartwarming community concert celebrating God’s love and the children’s unique worth. You’ll also mentor children with natural musical ability through personalized lessons, helping them grow as musicians and leaders. This mission blends creativity and faith, leaving a lasting impact as you inspire children to find joy and confidence in their musical gifts.

  • Join our Environmental Project to help restore and protect the natural beauty of the Philippines. Volunteers work in and around the Ima’s Home compound and nearby villages, focusing on gardening, farming, cleanup, and maintenance. Core activities include replanting, educating local schools about waste and pollution, and leading community cleanup efforts. This project is perfect for those who love the outdoors and want to make a tangible impact. No prior experience is needed—just enthusiasm, teamwork, and a desire to care for God’s creation.
