Stories of Celebration and Faith

The following are heartfelt reflections from visitors and mission partners who spent time at Ima’s Home this year. Each story captures a glimpse of the joy, growth, and faith that overflow when hearts from around the world connect with the children who call Ima’s Home their family.

Alexander’s Joy: Sportfest Memories

For Alexander, one of the brightest memories of the summer was Sportfest—a day full of laughter, cheering, and friendly competition. “It was very fun because we all became competitive and creative in everything,” he shared. The children sang, danced, modeled, and played sports with confidence and joy. Their enthusiasm filled the air, joined by guests from America who came to celebrate with them. For Alexander, the event was a reminder that joy thrives where love and community meet.

Sportfest wasn’t just about games—it was about unity. Every shout, every laugh, every race became a reflection of what makes Ima’s Home special: a family rooted in faith, where every child is encouraged to shine.

Rafael’s Inspiration: A Trip to Manila

When Rafael looks back on his summer, one moment stands out—the trip to Manila with Papa Jim. “It was special to me because we got to witness how they serve the church,” he said. Visiting Favor Church, Rafael met staff, singers, and musicians whose passion for ministry deeply inspired him. The trip was more than a visit—it was preparation.

As Ima’s Home prepares to launch its own church in February, Rafael’s experience offered a glimpse of what’s to come: a vibrant, faith-filled community built from the same heart that has shaped Ima’s Home from the start. For him, this trip sparked excitement for the next chapter—one where faith takes even deeper root.

Christine’s Transformation: A Day of Baptism

For Christine, the most powerful moment of the summer came during the baptism of the older kids. “It was such an overwhelming moment, especially as we accepted Jesus into our lives,” she recalled. Surrounded by smiling faces and heartfelt celebration, the atmosphere was filled with joy and peace.

“Everyone was smiling, cheering, and celebrating together—it was such a wonderful sight to behold,” she said. For Christine, this was more than a ceremony—it was a defining step in her walk with Christ, one that brought lasting peace and renewed hope for the future.

From joyful games to powerful worship and sacred baptism, these stories reflect the heart of Ima’s Home—a place where visitors and children alike experience God’s goodness in unforgettable ways. Thank you for helping make these stories possible through your love, prayers, and ongoing support.
