A Joyful Mission: Acacia Church’s 2025 Visit
Each year, Acacia Church from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, visits Ima’s Home—and each year, hearts are forever changed. Pastor Russ Cripps shared how this summer’s trip overflowed with laughter, faith, and healing moments. From pizza parties and balloon games to heartfelt Bible studies, the team’s time with the children was filled with joy and purpose.
The kids learned to be “fishers of men,” crafting bracelets from fishing equipment, while the girls enjoyed a pamper party that reminded them of their worth in God’s eyes. Pastor Russ shared that this year was extra special, as one of the team members—a mom and her teenage daughter—found healing and reconnection during their time serving together.
As he said, “Our hearts were moved by what God has done and is doing at Ima’s Home, and we already have a team secured to go in 2026 that will be the biggest team yet! AND WE CAN’T WAIT!!”
Thank you, Acacia Church, for being part of these stories of hope. Every act of love, big or small, reminds these children that they are never forgotten.
