Cherry’s Story: A Milestone to Remember

For Cherry, this summer marked one of the most meaningful moments of her life—graduating from high school. “It was a very meaningful milestone because it marked another achievement for us kids who carry big dreams despite the many challenges we’ve faced,” she shared.

What made it even more special was celebrating alongside their Ima’s family. Papa Jim helped the graduates find a safe apartment for their next chapter in independent living, while the staff made sure they returned home safely each weekend. Surrounded by love, Cherry says the experience reminded her that she’s never alone on this journey.

“This moment gave us motivation to keep going and to never give up, no matter how hard the journey gets,” she said. It’s milestones like Cherry’s that show the true heart of Ima’s Home—where dreams are nurtured and futures are built on faith and community.
